Thomas Edison

Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) was an US inventor. At the age of fifteen he worked in a telegraph office. he made over 1000 inventions. He invented the phonograph, the light bulb and the kinetoscope.

His neighbour was Henry Ford.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford built the famous Model-T. It was first built in 1908. The car had 25 hoursepower and could go 45 mph*. It only cost $250.

He also invented the assembly line. The production time was reduced from about twelve hours to one and a half hours. The workers could work faster, because all the parts came in the right order.
